In our quest to eat a little healthier, I've been scouring the internet looking for recipes. I found this recipe & I give it a big thumbs up. 3 items are all you need-cooked cauliflower, organic pasta sauce, goat cheese ( I used italian cheese) I had 2 cups cooked cauliflower 75 calories, organic pasta sauce 1/2 c 50 cal, 1/4 c italian cheese 90 cal. Total cal=215.
This is quite possibly the best pasta sauce I have ever had! For anyone interested I got it at Hy-Vee in the organic section.

Leaving St. Louis, we flew to Florida, to celebrate Christmas with Josh, Austin & Natalia. We had a surprise for the kids....
Yes, we took them to The Magic Kingdom! They were so excited, neither one had been before. We have taken all the other kids, but they weren't able to come, and in Natalia's case she wasn't born. Natalia is in to princesses, so we knew she would love it. And of course we knew Austin would love it too. We hadn't counted on it being so cold, but we still had a blast!
Austin didn't really want much to do with the princesses, but this one talked him into coming over, and she had him giggling & laughing,
then we all got in on the princess picture
Lots more pictures from Florida coming soon.....

We decided to try something a little different this year. We bought a fondue pot, and made cheese & chocolate fondue. We had a great time! Delanie absolutely loved it, her & Dave gorged themselves on it. We made Delanie stop eating, we were afraid she was going to eat too much & puke! We had lots of yummy dippers, we had chips, cauliflower, french bread, strawberries, marshmallows, pretzels, angel food cake, and Dave's favorite St. Louis gooey butter cookies. After we ate, mommo, HaHa, Fadler & Charlie came over to ring in the New Year with us. Since the balloon drop was such a huge hit last year, we decided to do it again. It was so much fun, except poor Marley was freaked out everytime a balloon popped.
Dave & Delanie's pig out faces
Brayden found a Green Bay Packer shot glass, he made Dave drink his whole beer out of the shot glass:)
Cheers with the kid wine!
Kids waiting for the balloons to drop
Here'sw to wishing everyone the very best 2012!!!

Duba got plenty of model airplanes!
I think Delanie liked her monkey pj's better than any of her toys, every time I turned around she had them on.
Brayden loved his ISU jersey
We all looked a smidge goofy playing Brayden's new HeadBanz game!
I love, love, loved my gifts!! Shannon kept asking me for a list. Finally I bombarded her with ideas. I love whimsical, and I had seen these stockings on a blog, so I kind of sent her that idea at the last minute thinking there was no way she would have time. Well I was so tickled, surprised and happy she was able to pull it off, I love them! She also made me an adorable travel bag, which I love as well, hopefully I'll be able to take it to Paris on my dream trip some day!

For some reason I didn't get any pictures from Christmas Eve:( I had wanted a group picture, sad I let it escape me. Here's some random ones from Christmas Day, didn't really get any good pictures.
I always open my Christmas presents in my swim suit, don't you? Especially after I've just received a kaboodle with some lipstick,
Breckie looking like a big boy in his high chair
Addi practicing her new violin
Little man concentrating on what's in his hands
Stanley, Jeff & Carol's new baby
Ok, this was difficult to get a good picture, someone didn't want to participate.
Back row:Kalli, Heather, Kelsi, Debbie, Chris
Middle row: Jeff, Carol, Jan, Dave, Brecken
On the floor: Addi, Jazzie, Kensi

Happy 3rd birthday to our sweet little Natalia Rose! Can't believe it's been 3 years since your daddy called early Christmas morning to tell us, you had arrived. And for those who don't know where Natalia got her name, it means born on Christmas. Can't wait to see her next week, and spend some time with her! Merry Christmas to everyone, hope Santa is good to you. Speaking of which, I better get to bed, so he can come to our house!

Just finished this and really enjoyed it, continuing on my World War 2 kick....wish I could find more. Can't believe I bought another Danielle Steele book, that is 2 in 1 year. I'm part way through this one, and I swear I'm not buying another. I'm having difficulty staying focused on it.
Shannon has been bugging me to update my blog. So as to what I have been doing, first I was sick for 3 weeks, cough, cough, coughing...probably driving everyone nuts, at times it was nonstop. Missed a few days of work, probably should have missed more. Since then I have been shopping, baking, cooking, cleaning, crafting, decorating... always at this time of year there are lots of blogs with linky parties. What is a linky party? For example people show how they have decorated their mantel, tree whatever, they invite people to link to their blog to show how they have decorated. I have spent more time than I can say going through these linky parties. But, there are so many wonderful ideas, and beautiful decorating, gives me lots of ideas, and then of course I have to make some of the stuff I have seen. I am usually not done decorating for Christmas, until Christmas day. I keep adding this or that, fixing this or that, and on and on it goes. so if anyone is interested in seeing some of these linky parties, leave me a message and I'll send you some links....
